Sensorium
A tool that bridges the gap between Sensorium’s entertainment metaverse and our world. Users can engage with avatars from Senso VR events on their mobile devices and even build unique virtual beings - training them through conversation and earning Senso coins to buy ‘talents’ and design their appearance.
Over a period of 4 months, I was responsible to leading a team of two junior designers and a collection of freelance artists to prototype a speculative concept for Sensorium. Diving deep into a worlds of AR, VR and cryptocurrencies, we built a vision for connecting our world with the virtual by making the actions you take in your day to day have an impact on the virtual and vice versa. Users can go to geo-fenced locations to unlock access to new skins and skills, they can interact with the avatar to set reminders and integrate therapeutic tools to their avatar’s personality to keep track of their physical and mental health goals.
Sensorium is a portal to another world, as such we focussed on making every interaction leverage the values and benefits of three-dimensional interactions. The user’s avatar is the central focus and the user interacts with them by, well... interacting with them. Rotate the avatar to the right and start a phone call, to the left and you will open a text based conversation, pull them down and you’ll zoom out to train them with new skills. Every interaction builds a connection between the user and their avatar, slowly dissolving the barriers that screens create.
